Hi folks! I hope you are finding some light among the ongoing absurd violence of empire. I just wanted to share that I’ve been spending the last few months thinking about where to best direct my energies with Last Ditch. This year I will focus on this blog and also a new series on the YouTube channel about Urban Permaculture. Every month or so, I will be uploading a new video about each of the 12 permaculture principles in the specific context of urban permaculture. This is an area that still feels relatively unexplored and something that I think about a lot. If you’d like to see more content like this, consider subscribing and/or becoming a Patreon member! I would love to hear your ideas.
Also, just a fun tidbit for the real ones out there, yes, the opening scenes of the first video are in Havana! I travelled to Cuba a few times in 2018-2019 for my thesis work.
And to prove I’m not just here for the self promotion, one of my favourite permaculture content creators, Heather Jo Flores, has just released a new video on social permaculture video. Talk about unexplored topics! Heather is one of the few content creators who also talks about social responsibility and land rights in tangible terms.
