As many of us are in the midst of another record breaking forest fire season, I thought it would be good to revisit some sources about how exactly things got this bad and what we can do to change it. Contrary to popular narratives, forest fires aren’t bad in of themselves. However, the “forests” we have cultivated across much of the world are basically just tinder boxes, not ecosystems.
